CHAPTER 14 - FIXING THE CENTER SECTION SPAR, RETRACT MODS

Dare I amputate the ends, and replace with new ones? I dare. The spar with both ends removed and access opennings to the inner hard points.

With the ends and inner hard points closed up. Before the trough is cut.
The new bottom trough. The spar with the new bottom trough. Foam had to be added back to the bottom trough (it was too deep in its previous top trough existance).
The top trough with templates indicating perfect compliance. The troughs had to be lowered at he ends to accommodate a 10 ply uni lay-up for the Infinity Aerospace retracts.
Then additional form was removed. The spar end with access hole cut, 5 ply bid in place, and foam removed for 10 ply uni wrap.
10 ply uni wrap in place. Crush plate affixed with foam being added back.

Foam added back, prior to trimming, ready for the shear web and spar caps. As if nothing happened.
